Augmentative Communication in Practice is an open group composed of people in Scotland who have an active interest in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) – users of AAC, families, carers and professionals from a variety of different disciplines.
Our main activity is the organisation of an annual Study Day, held every year since 1991. This year we are running a special event for people who use AAC, called Your Communication: Your Rights, on Monday 7th November in Edinburgh.
The Organising Committee consists of individual members of staff from the different centres in Scotland with a particular interest in Augmentative and Alternative Communication: CALL Scotland, SCTCI, Ayrshire and Arran AAC Resource, FACCT, KEYCOMM and TASSCC.
